Carnival Packages
There are three Carnival ground package categories.

Carnival package prices include:
- Seven nights accommodation in the category of your choice.
- Cooked breakfast each morning.
- Meet and greet on arrival in Cape Town and assistance at the airport.
- Souvenir Carnival programme Guide and survival kit with discount vouchers, maps etc.
- Transfers on arrival and departure from Cape Town Airport, to and from both social functions, the Team Manager’s briefing and Conclave meetings and on the 3 playing days.
- A quality 2010 World Vintage Rugby Carnival souvenir.
- A 3-hour Cocktail Party to include entertainment, dancing, unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks and a substantial finger food buffet.
- A 5-hour finale Dine and Dance function to include entertainment, unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks and a table served 3 course meal.
- Local service charges and taxes.
All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR)
The favourable international exchange rate makes the carnival packages great value for money and South Africa a shopper's paradise.For an indication of the costs in other currencies use the currency converter. The cost provided by the converter will only be indicative as the actual cost will be determined by the exchange rates at the time team payments are processed into South African Rand.
Carnival package prices do not include meals and drinks (other than breakfasts and meals and drinks at the two social functions), airfares or airport departure taxes, pre and post tours, personal items such as phone calls, internet charges, personal and medical insurance, laundry or additional taxes that may be effective at the time of the Carnival.
Please note that all Carnival participants and their travelling partners must purchase one of the official 2010 Carnival packages. Local teams living in Cape Town will be able to purchase the Local Package which will include the opening party and finale dinner only.

Travel
Teams are encouraged to make travel arrangements as soon as conveniently possible. Carnival organisers have finalised arrangements with Emirates to be the official preferred partner airline for the Cape Carnival. Special discounts and other attractive travel options are available to teams. Read about them here.
There is no compulsion to use the airline but Emirates ask to be given the opportunity to quote for team's travelling to Cape Town.
Insurance
It is vitally important that all players have travel and medical insurance. Evidence that players have this insurance will be required to be shown prior to the commencement of the games.
Payment schedule
The payment schedule for deposits required to secure your required accommodation will be :-
1. An initial deposit of ZAR 1,000 per person to be paid as detailed above.
2. A second deposit of ZAR 1,000 per person to be paid by December 1, 2009.
3. A further deposit of ZAR 1,000 per person to be paid by March 1, 2010
4. Full payment of the outstanding balance due for payment no later than June 1, 2010
Please note that invoices will be issued for each payment well in advance of the payment deadline.
Cancellations and Refunds Policy:
All cancellations must be advised in writing.
The Team Entry fee is non-refundable.
For any cancellations received in writing
twelve months or more prior to the commencement date of the Carnival, the package payments received will be transferred to the team balance. In the event that the team withdraws completely the payments will be fully refunded.
For cancellations received
180-364 days prior to the commencement date of the Carnival, the package payments will be transferred to the team balance less a 10% cancellation fee. In the event that the team withdraws completely the payments will be refunded less the cancellation fee.
For cancellations received
90-179 days prior to the commencement date of the Carnival, package payments will be transferred to the team balance less a 25% cancellation fee. In the event that the team withdraws completely the payments will be refunded less the cancellation fee.
For cancellations received
45-89 days prior to the commencement date of the Carnival, package payments will be transferred to the team balance less a 50% cancellation fee. In the event the team withdraws completely the payments will be refunded less the cancellation fee.
For cancellations received
44 days or less prior to the commencement date of the Carnival, package payments are non-refundable or transferable.
